Attend Events on Campus

Check Dolphin Digest for professional development and training workshops offered through Le Moyne College. You can also visit https://echo.lemoyne.edu/home and view the “Happening on Campus” calendar.


Classroom Training & Resources:

You may reserve classroom spaces on campus for events or meetings through astra.lemoyne.edu. Each Classroom at Le Moyne comes equipped with a Document Camera, a Blu-Ray Player or DVD player, Wireless and wired microphones, assisted listening support, and inputs for personal devices. To learn more about how to use Le Moyne’s in room technology review the Classroom guides or submit an IT Training Request at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu for a tutorial. Note: These guides are intended for general classroom use, each room may vary depending on age or specialty.


Le Moyne Information Technology Training

Le Moyne College Information Technology Department offers training on software, applications, and other services. Current training offered includes: Gmail & Calendaring, Zoom, Basecamp 3, Canvas, Classrooms and more. Before you request training visit the IT Public Knowledge base located on Google Drive. To view any resources you must first be signed in to your Le Moyne Google account. 

For specific training requests, complete an IT Training Request at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu


Faculty Coaching & Training:

Le Moyne College uses a variety of tools for the purpose of teaching and learning, including a learning management system (Canvas), classroom and desktop capture (Kaltura), and academic integrity (TurnItIn, Lockdown Browser). All of these materials are provided in a Canvas course titled Orientation to Academic Technology (OAT). To be enrolled in OAT, submit an Access Request at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu.


Software and Application Training

Adobe Training & Resources:

The Adobe Creative Suite is accessible on Le Moyne computers through AJ Apps, Le Moyne’s managed software tool. To learn skills in Adobe Creative Suite visit the adobe support pages. If you are looking for workshops, visit Adobe Education Exchange for access to a free learning platform designed for educators by educators.

Basecamp 3 Training & Resources:

Basecamp 3 is Le Moyne College’s preferred project management tool. To get access to basecamp for your team, contact the IT Services at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu and place an Access request. Once you are granted access, attend a live training to master the basics. Refer to the Basecamp 3 help guides for further explanations on the different features. Once you’ve gotten started, you can submit an IT Training Request for further training at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu

Canvas Training & Resources

Canvas is Le Moyne College’s Learning Management System. On Canvas, you will find all of your current courses as a student, teacher or TA. Canvas is supported by the Academic Technology team located in the Noreen Falcone Library. Visit canvas.lemoyne.edu and use the courses menu to access the Orientation to Academic Technologies Course to get started. Google Suite Training & Resources:

As a member of Le Moyne, you have full access to Google Suite for Education. These apps are a cloud based service that includes Gmail (Email), Calendar (Calendaring), Drive (Storage), Docs (Writing), Sheets (Spreadsheets), and much more. To learn more about how to use Google Suite and what is available, review the Google Learning Center below. Once you have gotten started, you can submit an IT Training Request at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu for more training.  

Microsoft Training & Resources:

Microsoft Office is installed on Le Moyne machines across campus. Simply search the Office Suite or the app you are looking for from the search bar. This includes apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and more. For in depth information on each app, visit the support center.

Zoom Training & Resources:

Zoom is Le Moyne’s Video Conferencing tool that can be used to host meetings, webinars, and chat across mobile devices, desktops, and conference room systems. For information on how to use Zoom, check out the video tutorials below. After reviewing Zoom’s training tutorials or attending Zoom live training session, you can submit an IT Training Request for Zoom from the IT Service Desk at servicedesk.lemoyne.edu
