Jennifer Glancy, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Religious Studies, has been appointed to a four-year term as the delegate from the Society of Biblical Literature to the American Council of Learned Societies. A federation of scholarly organizations dedicated to supporting the development and promoting the circulation of humanistic knowledge throughout society, the American Council of Learned Societies is considered the preeminent representative of American scholarship in the humanities and interpretive social sciences. Delegates are selected to represent their societies because they are experienced and accomplished scholars and leaders in their fields. Professor Glancy was a 2018 American Council of Learned Societies Fellow.
