Patrick Lawler, writer-in-residence in the Creative Writing Program, is a scriptwriter with Director Ted Schaefer.
In March, Lawler has two films in two different festivals. His feature-length film Giving Birth to a Butterfly is being shown at the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival at the University of Northern Alabama in Florence, Ala. (March 2 – March 4, 2023). His short film I Fell in Love with the World is being shown in Brooklyn at the Nitehawk Shorts Festival 2023 (March 1 – March 5, 2023).
