He presented his essay "Walking and Falling: Mulhall, Wittgenstein, and Prospects for Redemptive Philosophy" on Friday, April 8, 2022, as part of the international Selfridge Conference at Lehigh, which was devoted to the work of Stephen Mulhall. Conference papers will be published, with replies by Mulhall, in an upcoming special issue of the journal Philosophical Topics. Dr. Affeldt presented his paper ""'As if I could read the darkness': Some Stakes of Reading in Wittgenstein's Investigations" to the Philosophy Department at Lehigh on Monday, April 11, 2022. That paper is expected to be part of a book that Affeldt is currently writing under the title At the Feet of the Familiar: Emerson, Wittgenstein, Cavell.
