Please join JoAnn Cooke of the Syracuse Zen Center for weekly mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is the practice of a moment-to- moment, nonjudgmental awareness of our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and of the outside environment. It is known to have benefits for mental and physical health and well-being, especially for the reduction of the negative impacts of stress. It also helps promote mental focus, creativity and a sense of inner peace.

Practice will be held every Monday. These sessions will begin at 4:45 p.m. in the Drescher Community Room, located in the Panasci Family Chapel, and are open to all members of the Le Moyne community. Introductory orientations are available prior to the start of each practice session, which concludes at 5:30 p.m. and is followed by time for conversation about participants’ experiences.
