Sharifi and Students Present Research at Immunology Conference

Le Moyne College was represented at the 28th annual Upstate New York Immunology Conference (NYIC), one of the Northeast’s premier scientific gatherings. Officially supported by the American Association of Immunologists and the National Institutes of Health, the NYIC brings together researchers from leading institutions, including Cornell, Dartmouth, Roswell Park and others, to share findings in disciplines from host defense and autoimmunity to tumor immunology and cellular therapies. H. John Sharifi, Ph.D., of the Department of Biological adn ENvironmental Sciences, delivered an invited talk detailing his lab’s findings on intrinsic immunity to HIV, while his student researchers, Lauren Letourneau and Tyler Williams, presented a poster showcasing their contribution to the work.
