"Edgar in the Red Room," an original chamber musical based on the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe received the top award from Poe Fest International. The Saturday ‘Visiter’ Awards are an honor presented by Poe Baltimore, recognizing the late American author's legacy in the arts and literature around the world. The prizes honor media, art, performance and writing that adapts or is inspired by Poe’s life and works.  This production, written by Le Moyne faculty and staff members Matt Chiorini, Greg Giovanini, and Maya Dwyer, and featuring designs by Lindsey Voorhees and John Czajkowski, was honored this weekend with the 2026 "Saturday Visiter" Award for Best Adaptation of E.A. Poe's Life and Works.

The production, created at Le Moyne in 2023 and featuring a cast and crew of Le Moyne students, staff, and alumni, has been touring since 2024, playing to sold out houses and rave reviews in Montreal, Toronto, and London.  The production returns to London in March, 2027 for a two week run of performances at the Gatehouse Theatre.  Prior to their departure, there will be several preview performances on campus in the W. Carroll Coyne Center for the Performing Arts Center on Feb. 26.
