Egerton to Write Graphic Novel

Douglas Egerton, Ph.D., emeritus professor of history, will be writing the graphic novel, A Glorious Cause: The Transatlantic Worlds of Denmark Vesey, with artist Liz Clarke, for Oxford University Press. He also has chapter length essays forthcoming in the anthologies Black Civil War Soldiers and Their Fight for Manhood and More Than an Eagle on Their Button: Black Soldiers in the Civil War Era, both from University of Georgia Press.
