Chandan Jha, Ph.D., the John K. Purcell ’65 Endowed Chair in Finance at Le Moyne College, and Ghanshyam Sharma published an article in the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics. This research investigates how Bihar’s alcohol ban influenced social perceptions, finding that while prohibition improved attitudes toward women's personal autonomy, it struggled to dismantle entrenched patriarchal views regarding traditional domestic roles.
