A recent book titled “Discovering the Elements: No Simple Stories” contains a chapter by Carmen Giunta, Ph.D., emeritus professor of chemistry. The book is edited by Brigitte Van Tiggelen and Annette Lykknes and published by World Scientific. (Lykknes, who is affiliated with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, presented on this subject at Le Moyne’s natural science seminar in March 2025.) Giunta’s chapter is titled “In Defence of a Journalistic Model of Describing Discovery: The Cases of Argon, Helium and Neon”.
