Dr. Trijya Singh, associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, has been awarded the Outstanding Service Award from the Rochester Chapter of the American Statistical Association (ASA) at the 2025 Joint Statistical Meeting. She has been on the executive committee member and the Council of Chapters representative for since 2021. The award citation reads: `For invaluable support of the Rochester Chapter and particularly the annual UpStat conference for several years.' In addition to Le Moyne, membership of the Rochester chapter comprises faculty and students from institutions such as the University of Rochester, RIT and SUNY Geneseo.
The ASA is the premier professional organization for statisticians in North America. It is one of the largest and the second-oldest statistical organizations in the world.
