H. John Sharifi, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences, along with collaborators at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, published their CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing protocol in the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE). Their video demonstration was recently added to the written protocol published in April. The team hopes their article, Generation of a RIP1 Knockout U937 Cell Line Using the CRISPR-Cas9 System, will assist fellow researchers in determining the importance of specific cellular proteins in immune cell biology.
