Studying abroad offers students a valuable combination of learning opportunities and cultural experiences that contribute to a well-rounded undergraduate education. The O’Leary International Travel Grant Program provides two types of financial awards to help offset travel costs for students in College of Arts & Sciences: (1) grants of up to $2,000 for A&S majors participating in semester or year-long study abroad programs*; and (2) grants of $600 for A&S majors or graduate students enrolled in College of Arts & Sciences courses that include a short-term international travel component.
*Le Moyne College approved programs are eligible, with preference given to applicants participating in Le Moyne College affiliated programs.
Travel grants are awarded on a competitive basis with strong consideration given to the applicant’s financial need and academic record. Grant recipients are required to participate in a project or activity that promotes international travel opportunities to the Le Moyne community.
This grant program is administered by the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and funded by a gift from the estate of Dr. Harriet L. O’Leary, professor emerita of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
