Assistant Professor Travis Newton was selected as an International Council of Fine Arts Deans (ICFAD) Fellow for 2018. Founded on a shared passion and advocacy for the arts and a commitment to excellence in leadership, ICFAD is a multinational alliance of executive arts administrators representing institutions of higher education. As part of the fellowship, Newton attended the annual conference in Seattle (Oct. 2-5, 2018), was paired with a mentor, and attended the daylong Fellows Program, a professional development program designed to promote a healthy and continuous pipeline of talented arts administrators who are prepared to move into leadership positions in ICFAD member institutions.
