An edited volume "150 Years of the Periodic Table," edited by Professor Emeritus of Chemistry Carmen Giunta, Ph.D., and University of Illinois chemists Vera Mainz and Gregory Girolami, was published online this week by Springer and may be found here.
The book is based on a symposium organized by the three editors in 2019, which had been mentioned in the New York Times.
Giunta wrote one of the chapters, "Vis Tellurique of Alexandre-Émile Béguyer de Chancourtois" and co-authored another with Mainz and Julianna Poole-Sawyer, "Periodicity in Britain: The Periodic Tables of Odling and Newlands."
