Environmental Science majors Haley Synan and Mikael Melfi, with professor Larry Tanner, have published new research in the journal Ecological Processes, published by Springer. The article, Spatial and temporal dynamics of growth of woody plant species (birch and willows) on the foreland of a retreating glacier in southern Iceland, describes research supported by the Georg Endowed Professorship (to LT) and McDevitt Center Fellowships (to HS and MM).
