Chandan Jha, Ph.D., assistant professor of finance in the Madden School of Business, was invited to serve as a panelist at the International Annual Conference for Integrity2019, “Detection of Corruption: Mechanisms and Strategies for Action,” organized by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru." During the two-day conference organized by the Supreme Audit Institution of Peru in the capital city of Lima on Dec. 2-3, researchers and practitioners from all over the world shared their research findings and experiences on how to control corruption and challenges faced in fighting corruption. Jha spoke about the findings of his research that identify several reasons individuals tolerate corruption by their preferred political party even though they do not approve it.
