Kate Costello-Sullivan, professor of English, gave the Lawrence McBride annual Keynote lecture at sister Jesuit institution Creighton University on October 12 for the MidWestern Regional meeting of the American Conference for Irish Studies (ACIS), the largest Irish academic organization in the world, and sat on a roundtable about “Teaching Irish Studies in the era of MeToo.” She also launched a book, “Science, technology and Irish Modernism ,” which was produced under the Syracuse UP line of which she is Series Editor. Finally, while in Omaha, Kate was also invited to guest lecture on Kate O’Brien at the University of Nebraska-Omaha to a literature class. She is currently the sitting president of the ACIS.
