Donald C. Maldari, S.J., professor of theology at the Pacific Regional Seminary in Fiji, recently released a new book titled Christian Ministry in the Divine Milieu. In the book, Father Maldari writes about how the ministry is ultimately a way of cooperating with God in furthering the process of creation to its fulfillment in salvation. It also humbly recognizes human limitation and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. He thus suggests that the sacrament of holy orders needs rethinking to celebrate the sacramental character of all ministries. Father Maldari previously served as associate professor of religious studies at Le Moyne.
