The Office of the Provost and the Institutional Review Board are pleased to announce that Le Moyne’s application for FederalWide Assurance (FWA) has been approved by the Office of Human Research Protections of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  As a result, the departments and agencies of the federal government which are part of the FWA system will accept this approval as assurance that Le Moyne’s IRB is authorized to act as the IRB of record for all human subjects research at the College that is funded by these agencies.

Researchers at the College can use this assurance when applying for funds from the following federal departments and agencies:  Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Department of Commerce, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Agency for International Development, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Justice, Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Veterans Affairs, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Health and Human Services, Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security, National Science Foundation, Department of Transportation.
