Cabot Chair of Aesthetics and the General Theory of Value at Harvard University.

Affeldt's essay "Impression, Influence, Appreciation" appeared in the recently published volume Inheriting Stanley Cavell: Memories, Dreams, Reflections (Bloomsbury Academic, 2020).

His essay "At the Feet of the Familiar: Thoughts on Cavell on Emerson and Wittgenstein" appeared in Conversations: The Journal of Cavellian Studies, vol. 7.  This essay may be accessed here.
