On Friday, March 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., “Living the Final Chapter: A Symposium for Compassionate Care for Persons at the End of Life” will be held at the Genesee Grande Hotel. The event will features keynote speakers Dr. B.J. Miller, hospice and palliative care specialist for the UCSF Medical Center, and Dr. Sharon Brangman, director of SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease. In addition there will be a number of breakout sessions. The event is sponsored by Francis House; learn more about the event here.

The Purcell School of Professional Studies at Le Moyne will fund 10 of its students for the event. See the attached scholarship form – interested students should complete and send in the form by Feb. 16 to Wendy Ostroski at [email protected]. Students will be notified if they are granted the scholarship.
