Jim Joseph '83, dean of the Madden School of Business, will be part of a panel discussion for the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs South Asia Center Speaker Series titled "Micro-volunteering, Global Health and the Future of Connected Humanitarianism."

The panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges in mobilizing faculty and students to be involved in humanitarian projects with social impact in South Asia and other emerging economies. Through examples, this panel will demonstrate how AarogyaSeva Global Health Volunteer Alliance has been a catalyst in creating a win-win model for all stakeholders involved. The panelists will share lessons that have led to scalable and replicable models.  It will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.
