Corey Palmer '18, an environmental science systems major, and Katie Markstein '18, a biology major, presented their research on separating the roles of temperature and moisture in controlling rates of decomposition of soil organic matter at the meeting of the Northeastern section of the Geological Society of America in Burlington, Vt. The research was supported by the McDevitt Center and the Student Research Committee.
